After successfully fighting for equal marriage, Canada's national LGBTQ2S rights organization sought to engage a younger demographic in a pan-Canadian conversation about the continued need for a unified national voice for LGBTQ rights.

Content Strategy + CAMPAIGN

In partnership with Egale Canada, we developed the award-winning Hear Our Story Campaign, a national, participatory conversation that engaged LGBTQ2S youth through a mini-doc series and story submission competition featuring community members from across the country.
 

Social Media Policies

We also worked with the organization to develop its first social media policy, including escalation procedures and protocols.

Campaign Impact

NATIONAL MEDIA COVERAGE

The campaign resulted in significant media attention across the country, including: Breakfast Television TorontoCBC News, Daily Xtra, The Gandor Beacon, and The Western Star.
 

GLOBAL REACH

Chelsea Noel from Corner Brook, Newfoundland was selected to be featured in the powerful series finale. By the end of the campaign #HearOurStory generated approximately 5 million impressions on digital platforms across North America.


AWARDS

In June, 2015 Marketing Magazine awarded the #HearOurStory campaign a bronze medal in the category of Public Service Branded Content.
